I‘m driving a converted Daewoo Tico on
24S Sinopoly LiFePO4 100Ah cells & after
more than 6 years, 75000km & around
1400 charges, this original pack is still in
function!
The only „issue“ is that they can‘t deliver 2C without voltage drops to 2.8V in the winter (temperature around 0 – have no garage).
But those cells don´t have an easy life!!!
First there was 22 LiFePO4 cells bought from GWL & a charger set to 24 cells!!
Because lack of experience I overcharged them in fi rst few charges (they become a bit fat). Soon I bought 2 more cells & upgrade to 24S.
Also important, cruising 60km/h my car needs 4,3kW, so this is 0,6C constant current (0,3C is writen in datasheet) & allmost 3C for acceleration.
So, I am very pleased with Sinopoly. Recently, I ordered a new battery pack (20S2P NMC 60Ah LG cells) & existing pack will have a second life like solar storage in 8S3P configuration.
