Example reference of the installation of the flexible solar panels on the roof of a luxury yacht.
In this installation there are 18 pcs of 310Wp flexible panels. The total solar power is 5.6 kWp.
The installation powers a 48V DC installation with lithium battery and Victron inverters.
With 6 hours of direct sunlight from 9 am to 3 pm the installation will generate about 30 kWh of energy. In a fully sunny day from 6 am to 9 pm it is possible to generate even above 40 kWh of energy. This is enough for the board circuits and also for the yacht auxiliary electric motors for low-speed cruise.
With these solar panels, this luxury yacht can stay on the sea for many days or even weeks with no consumption of the fossil fuel. (Yep, the main engines are still gasoline powered.)
