The winter of 2022-2023 is coming in just a few months and many customers wonder about the performance of their battery packs. Especially those who have been using the lead-acid batteries.
The performance of the lead-acid batteries drops significantly in sub-zero temperatures. The above diagram shows that the lead acid (and also SLA - sealed lead-acid) batteries may have as low as just 20% of their capacity in -20°C.
In comparison with the lead-acid cells the lithium technology cells (both LiFePO4 and LTO) show a constant performance even in cold water.
