This is an example of a model charging curve for a 24V LFP battery. In this scenario the battery is finely charged with a 2 Amp balancing charger. There are following stages of the charging process:
1 – The battery is charged to the full voltage (29.6V = 3.7V per cell)
2 – The battery is in the balancing stage. The internal balancer consumes the energy until the battery is fully charged. The current drops down.
3 – After the battery is charged, the charging current is stopped and the battery voltage keeps dropping. The battery is discharged by the internal electronics (-0.2A).
With this charging model, the cells in the battery become fully charged and finally balanced.
