The GWL/Power team is also experimenting with the energy generation from heat by a Stirling motor. The Stirling motor is installed on top of the OKOFEN Power-generating pellet boiler.

The demonstration shows the real power from the 1000W Stirling Motor generation. The output power rated at the AC part of the Stirling motor is some 300W. After conversion to DC by the Victron Multiplus and when distracting the self-consumption of the equipment, the real charge to the battery pack is some 150 Watts (52V and 3 Amps)

These are the result from the initial testing in spring 2020. In the real installation of the Czech Sustainable Houses (CSoD) project, the Stirling Motor will be able to run at full power (up to 600W). Thus we expect to get to some 350 ~ 400 Watts of energy stored to the battery.

More details to come!
