Industrial 12V 60Ah lithium battery with high energy density, based on safe LiFePO4 (LFP) technology. Suitable for electric vehicles (EV), energy storage, solar, and lightweight applications. Check the series of destructive battery tests and how did it turn out!.
Nominal voltage of the battery is 12 V and the operational voltage is
11,5 V - 15 V.
The maximum charging voltage for initial charge is
15 V.
Recommended subsequent charging is to
14,6 V.
The minimum voltage is
11 V.
Maximum discharge current is
3C continously.
Operating temperature
-25°C up to 80°C
Screw size for terminals:
M8
NOTE:
The monolithic
12V batteries do not have any PCM (any electronics) inside. They consist of finely balanced
smaller cells with identical perfomace. The
battery must be managed and operated as a single monolithic
12V battery block.
We do not recommend operation in serial connection.
For system with higher voltage 24/36/48V and more, we recommend to use Single cells 60Ah + BMS123Smart Gen3
These
LiFePO4 12 V 60 Ah batteries are suitable for all traction applications including
electric vehicles (EV).
Fully complies also for stationary applications - such as
energy storage.
Also possible to use
for starting internal combustion engines. In the Principles do not require any special electronics for use LP 12V batteries for starting, but it is very important to keep min. and max. voltage, so we recommend using any voltage indication unit, which you will be informed about the current Voltage. This is important especially for frequent starting.
There is
no Selfdischarging effect.
These
rechargeable batteries can be recharged at any state of discharge - no memory effect.
LiFePO4 (LiFeYPO4, LFP, LiFePO, LiFePO 4) is a very safe technology, not spontaneous combustion, does not react with moisture or with oxygen. To be able to use it must first be charged with a low current. The first charge should not exceed 0.5 C - e.g. for 60 Ah
12 V battery, the current shouldn’t exceed 30 A.
All
batteries are supplied new directly from the manufacturer.

Original Woodenbox contains 6 batteries is 647*458*360mm large and weighs 78kg.
Why LiFeYPO4 and not LiFePO4 batteries? Some manufacturers of
LiFePO4 batteries, including
ThunderSky Winston Battery, complement the chemical structure of the composition with the element of Yttrium (Y). The essential difference is in the behavior of the yttrium and iron chemical elements. The yttrium is more chemically stable. Learn more on our

HINT! For initial charging multiple
12 V batteries, must be connected in parallel and the
charger outputs should be connected to both ends of the parallel rows of batteries, exactly as it is described here:

They protect the terminals against dirt, damage and short-circuit.

ThunderSky Winston Battery Tests
Series of destructive tests on Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFeYPO4, LFP, LiFePO4) cells ThunderSky Winston, learn how the cells behave in the event of puncture by fire axe or intentional short-circuit with current up to 1600 A (400 C).
You can see these four tests:
- Puncture
- Overcharge
- Short-circuit
- Ignition by an external source
Result: LiFePO4 cells and batteries are extremely durable against physical abuse and they don’t endanger their surroundings even in moments of short-circuiting.
