Up to 25 units in one PV system can be synchronized with VE.Can. The picture below is for illustration purposes only.
Victron Energy's MPPT solar controllers are among the absolute world leaders in the industry, offering ultra-fast MPPT tracking. Especially under overcast skies with continuous changes in light intensity, this controller makes solar gains up to 30% higher compared to conventional PWM controllers or 10% higher compared to slow MPPT controllers. Especially when two or more points of maximum output can be given. Conventional MPPT controllers tend to maintain power at a local power point, but this may not correspond to the optimum (maximum) power point. Excellent efficiency of up to 98%, with no unnecessary energy loss with quiet passive fanless cooling.
The external device can simply switch the controller off/on.
The nominal output of PV panels is 650Wp for 12V systems, 1300Wp for 24V systems and 2600Wp for 48V systems. In the case that these values are exceeded, the controller will not be damaged, but will only automatically reduce the incoming power from the panels to acceptable values. The maximum short-circuit current to the controller from the PV panels must not exceed 50A, otherwise permanent damage will be caused. The maximum input voltage from the PV panels, referred to as Voc (void voltage), must not exceed 150V, otherwise it may cause permanent damage - it must be taken into account that Voc increases with decreasing temperature.
